Bisaya Lesson: In The Kitchen

Hey!!! This post is a written transcription of my how-to-speak video below. This is to help you later on if you want to review some of the terms we've tackled. I hope this lesson will help you guys on how to speak the Bisaya language. Let's start.
English: Let's have lunch.
Bisaya: Maniudto  na ta.

English: Let's have dinner.
Bisaya: Manihapon na ta.

English: Let's eat breakfast.
Bisaya: Mamahaw na ta.

In case you're done eating but you'd like to tell the other person to eat. 

For Breakfast: Pamahaw na.
For Dinner: Panihapon na
For Lunch: Paniudto na.

English: Have you eaten your breakfast?
Bisaya: Namahaw na ka?

English: Have you eaten your lunch?
Bisaya: Naniudto na ka?

English: Have you eaten your dinner/supper?
Bisaya: Nanihapon na ka?

English: Have you had your snack?
Bisaya: Nagmerienda na ka?

English: Come, eat with me / us.
Bisaya: Ali, mangaon ta.

English: Please pass the salt.
Bisaya; Palihog ko'g pasa sa asin.

English: Please pass the water.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa tubig.

English: Please pass the chicken adobo.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa adobong manok.

English: Please pass the dish/viand.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa sud-an.

English: Please pass the soy sauce.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa toyo.

English: Please pass the vinegar.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa suka.

English: Please pass the fish sauce.
Bisaya; Palihog ko'g pasa sa patis.

English: Please pass the fruit.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa prutas.

English: Please pass the plate.
Bisaya; Palihog ko'g pasa sa plato.

English: Please pass the spoon.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa kutsara

English: Please pass the fork.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa tinidor.

English: Please pass the knife.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa kutsilyo.

English: Please pass the glass.
Bisaya: Palihog ko'g pasa sa baso.

What to say if you want to compliment the cook.
Bisaya: Lami kaayo pagkaluto.

What to say if you want to compliment the food.
Bisaya: Lami kaayo ang sud-an.

English: It's very sweet.
Bisaya: Tam-is kaayo.

English: It's very salty.
Bisaya: Parat kaayo.

English: It's very bitter.
Bisaya: Pait kaayo.

English: This is tasteless.
Bisaya; Tab-ang kaayo.

English: This meat is chewy.
Bisaya: Gahi kaayo ang karne.

English: This meat is perfect/soft.
Bisaya: Humok kaayo ang karne.

How to say the rice's consistency is watery or is close to a congee (lugaw)
Bisaya: Lata kaayo ang kan-on.
Bisaya: Lata kaayo ang bugas.

How to say if the food is undercooked.
Bisaya: Hilaw mani.

How to say if the rice is undercooked.
Bisaya: Hilaw mani ang kan-on.

How to say if the dish/viand is undercooked.
Bisaya: Hilaw mani ang sud-an.

How to say if the food is overcooked.

Example: The fish is overcooked (in this example charred or burned)
Bisaya: Pagod mani pagkaluto sa isda.
Bisaya: Pagod ma ni.
Bisaya: Pagod mani pagkaluto.

How to use "nasobraan" (same meaning with overcooked)
Bisaya: Nasobraan mani pagkaluto.

English: Thank you for the wonderful food.
Bisaya: Salamat kaayo sa lami na pagkaon.

English: Thank you for inviting me for dinner.
Bisaya: Salamat kaayo sa panihapon.

English: Thank you for inviting me for breakfast.
Bisaya: Salamat kaayo sa panihapon.

English: Thank you for inviting me for lunch.
Bisaya: Salamat kaayo sa paniudto.

English: Thank you for inviting me.
Bisaya: Salamat kaayo sa pagimbitar.

English: You're welcome.
Bisaya: Wa'y sapayan. or Walay sapayan.
